Product Details

In ceremonial magic and pagan witchcraft traditions, the main ritual implement was a black handled ceremonial blade called an Athame. The Athame represents one of the four elemental tools in Wicca, traditionally standing for fire. The other three elemental tools are the wand, the pentacle, and the cup or chalice. These four magical tools correspond to the four weapons in Celtic myth - the sword, the spear, the shield, and the cauldron. The athame's primary use is channeling and directing psychic energy. But the athame is also used to ritually draw the boundary of the magic circle, invoke the elemental guardians, and other magical ceremonies and rites.

Our handcrafted Damascus steel blade comes with a unique hammered pattern that is created by hammering a small bearing into the hot steel. The rough hammered texture compliments the smooth flowing lines of Damascus steel. The black buffalo horn and walnut handle gives the Witches Blade an earthy and elegant look. This hand-folded Damascus steel knife will look great, whether on your altar or on your hip during your next hunting trip.

Please note: Each knife is handmade from natural materials. There will be some variation in color, Damascus pattern and overall look. The knife you receive will have the same attention to quality and detail as the one pictured but may differ slightly in appearance.
